Target Groups and Levels

Radio D is a course for beginners without or with little prior knowledge of German. The course was conceived for learners who (with or without a teacher) want to acquire or reinforce the lexical and grammatical structures of level A1, primarily through listening. For teachers who wish to use strategic listening materials, the course offers many prepared structures (from scenes set up as radio plays to recordings of individual sentences) for global and detailed listening comprehension as well as grammar and vocabulary.

Content

The scenes on the Audio-CD center around two editors of a radio station who research mysterious cases. They travel all over Germany, for instance to the castle Neuschwanstein, Hamburg, the Mardi Gras in Cologne, etc. The learner thus is introduced to Germany and its culture in a new and playful way.
