Target Group

The "Einstiegsskurs" is designed for students with no experience in learning foreign languages and with little knowledge about the structure of language.  It is suitable for students who are looking for a "Schnupperkurs".  The chapters are short and cover the most basic forms of communication in German.

Content and Concept

This starter course aims at addressing the most frequent expressions and structures needed for basic communication.  The following topics are covered: 

• Guten Tag!
• Der Deutschkurs
• Freizeit und Tagesablauf
• Mein Beruf und meine Familie
• Einkaufen

Components

The starter course consists of a textbook with Audio-CD.  A word list with the vocabulary for each chapter is available via the internet.

• The "Einstiegskurs" consists of textbook and workbook (with Audio-CD) with 5 chapters each.
• The answer key is included.
• The most frequently used directions in the classroom are listed on the back of the book.
• A wordlist Wortliste is available on the web.  It is organized chronologically according to the appareance of the words in a given chapter.
